Welcome to French Corner Desserts ("French Corner", "we", "our", or "us"). We are committed to protecting your personal privacy and safeguarding your personal information. This Privacy Policy governs your use of our official website (frenchcorner.xwaydesigns.com) and our mobile applications available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store (collectively, the "Services").

By downloading, accessing, or using our mobile application or website, you agree to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described in this policy in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), Apple App Store Review Guidelines, and Google Play Developer Policies.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide handcrafted confections, ensure food safety, and deliver orders to your doorstep:

  • Personal Contact Information: Your full name, mobile telephone number, and email address for order receipts, customer care, and WhatsApp status updates.
  • Delivery Address & Location Data: Street address, building name, flat/floor number, landmark, city, pincode, and optional GPS geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude) captured via your device's location services strictly when you tap "Detect My Location" to pinpoint your delivery address within our Jamshedpur delivery radius.
  • Account & Authentication Data: Apple Sign-In user identifier (or Apple Private Relay email), Google Sign-In profile token, and SMS/WhatsApp One-Time Password (OTP) verification records. We never store raw passwords.
  • Payment & Transaction Information: Order ID, purchased confections, delivery fee, discounts, and payment transaction reference numbers. Note: All online payments are securely processed by Razorpay (a PCI-DSS Level 1 Certified gateway). French Corner does NOT collect, store, or view your credit card numbers, debit card PINs, or UPI MPINs.
  • Device & Diagnostics Data: Device model, operating system version (iOS/Android), IP address, app version, and Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) device push tokens to dispatch real-time bakery status notifications.

3. How We Use Your Information

Your data is strictly utilized for core operational and customer service purposes:

  • Processing, baking, packing, and dispatching fresh dessert orders.
  • Transmitting live order status milestones (Baking, Out for Delivery, Delivered) via WhatsApp Business API and push notifications.
  • Calculating and maintaining your Sweet Rewards loyalty points balance (5% order cashback).
  • Customer support assistance and resolving product quality or delivery inquiries.
  • Complying with statutory food safety regulations, accounting standards, and Indian taxation laws.

We NEVER sell, rent, monetize, or trade your personal data, phone number, or email address with data brokers, advertisers, or unaffiliated third parties.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We partner only with industry-leading, verified technology infrastructure partners to deliver our services:

  • Razorpay: PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant payment processing for credit cards, debit cards, UPI, and Net Banking.
  • MSG91 & Meta WhatsApp Cloud API: Secure delivery of OTP verification codes and transactional delivery updates.
  • Google Firebase: Push notification dispatching and anonymous crash diagnostic analytics.
  • Apple & Google Identity Services: Frictionless, privacy-preserving single sign-on authentication.

5. Data Retention & Account Deletion (User Rights)

You maintain complete ownership and control over your personal information. In full compliance with Apple App Store Guideline 5.1.1(v) and Google Play's Account Deletion Policy:

How to Delete Your Account and Data:
  • Inside the Mobile App: Navigate to Profile → Account Settings → Delete Account. Tap Confirm to permanently delete your profile, saved addresses, and Sweet Rewards points immediately.
  • Via Web Portal (No App Needed): You can submit a deletion request anytime directly on our public portal at frenchcorner.xwaydesigns.com/delete-account.php.

* Upon account deletion, all personal profile records, saved delivery addresses, and Sweet Rewards loyalty points are permanently erased from our active database. Completed past financial tax invoices are retained strictly for the statutory period mandated by Indian corporate and tax audit regulations.

6. Information Security

We implement robust administrative, technical, and physical security measures, including 256-bit SSL/TLS encryption for all data in transit, firewalled database servers, and restricted role-based administrative access.

7. Children's Privacy

Our services are not targeted towards children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors without parental or legal guardian consent.
